Biogas from Renewable Raw Materials

Nooren Bioenergie Verwaltungs GmbH, Saxony-Anhalt

By replacing the engines of its biogas plant locations with eight containerized MWM cogeneration power plants and MWM TCG 3016 gas engines, the agricultural company Gebrüder Nooren GbR has doubled the installed electrical output of the existing plants.

BG Biogas Service GmbH operates a biogas plant in the Alb-Danube region in both Langenau and Seligweiler, each with a cogeneration power plant and a satellite cogeneration power plant.

Bioenergie Hack Verwaltungsgesellschaft mbH, Wentorf

The biogas plant runs on a 50/50 mix of cattle manure from the farm's dairy cows and corn grown on the fields. In addition to the TCG 3016, a smaller MWM genset with an output of 400 kWel is installed.

Bioenergie Fargau GmbH & Co. KG, Fargau/Plön, Germany

The plant achieves power production of 3.7 million kWh and a thermal output of 3 million kWh per year. The utilization of thermal energy is practically 100%.

Per year and plant, some 10,000 t of energy crops are used in the Biogas Park Altmark. These are supplied by farms from the region.

A container-hosted TCG 2016 V08 C generates 3,200 MWh of power and 2,552 MWh of heat a year, which are used for the biogas plant.

CHP Plant, Kletkamp Farm, Germany

Nawaro Kletkamp GmbH & Co. KG uses a biogas CHP plant. Every day, about 20 tons of corn silage are used as input substance.

Biogas Plant Géotexia, France

The biogas plant in the Bretagne, France uses pork manure and industrial fats to produce around 700m³ of biogas per hour. The biogas is used in 2 containerized TCG 2016 V16 C.

Weinheim Wastewater Treatment Plant, Weinheim/Bergstrasse, Germany

In addition to the CHP plants, the Weinheim Wastewater Treatment Plant has over 5,000 m2 of photovoltaic panels installed on the roof tops of the buildings, yielding up to 560,000 kWh/year.

Mannheim Sewage Plant, Germany

In 2009, the Mannheim Sewage Plant has added a container with a TCG 2020 V12 to its system portfolio. From 2020, the plant was repowered with three further TCG 2020 V12 gas engines.

Melbourne Water, Australia

The Melbourne Water Corporation is responsible for the wastewater handling and treatment for the city of 3.7 million inhabitants. Seven gas gensets convert natural gas and sewage gas to energy, each generating 1.4 MW at a temperature of 35°C.


Landfill Suzhou, China

The landfill gas plant consists of 3 containerized TCG 2020 V16. Its current is fed into the local power grid.

Ämmässuo Landfill, Finland

The 50-acre landfill in Ämmässuo, Finland, uses the landfill gas resulting from the fermentation of waste in four TCG 2032 V16 units. This is the first landfill gas plant with engines of the TCG 2032 series.

GaoAnTun Landfill, Beijing, China

The project at the GaoAnTun landfill started in 2007 with the installation of one TCG 2016 V12B unit with an output of 537 kWel.

Delhi Land Finance (DLF), India

DLF had been looking for custom-tailored energy solutions for five different buildings. The answer was the use of coolant heat for the generation of heating water and the use of the exhaust gas heat in absorption refrigerators for cooling.

Two TCG 2032 V16 units were added to the existing MWM engines. Using trigeneration, 7.44 MW of electricity, 8.7 MW of heat, and 5.3 MW of cold are produced and used to supply buildings and hangars.
